BMW Constructors, Inc. Honored with Multiple Awards at The Northwest Indiana Construction Banquet

The Northwest Indiana Business Roundtable (NWIBRT) and Construction Advancement Foundation (CAF) presents BMW Constructors, Inc. with three (3) awards at the annual banquet.

BMW Constructors, Inc. (BMW) once again is the recipient of the “Safety Recognition Award” from the Northwest Indiana Business Roundtable (NWIBRT). The award is in recognition of BMW’s continuing improvements in safety for the past three years.

Additionally, BMW’s own, Doug Patton, received a special safety award from NWIBRT. The “Roger Walters Memorial Safety Award” went to Doug because he exemplifies the slogan “Never give Safety a Day Off.” BMW is proud to have an employee so dedicated to safety.

Finally, the Construction Advancement Foundation (CAF), presented BMW and NIPSCO with the joint award “Industrial Project of the Year” for the C8 Coal Conveyor Replacement Project at the Michigan City Generating Station. The project, as a result of a serious fire in the coal conveyor, required BMW’s crew to work quickly and accurately in harsh winter conditions. In just three short months, the entire conveyor was removed and replaced with a new coal conveyor system redesigned to meet new code requirements. Most importantly, the project was accident-free.

BMW Honored with Prestigious Indianapolis Safety Award

The Metro Indianapolis Coalition for Construction Safety (MICCS) presents BMW Constructors, Inc. with its most coveted award.

BMW Constructors, Inc. (BMW) is the 2010 recipient of the “Excellence in Safety Award” from the Metro Indianapolis Coalition for Construction Safety (MICCS). This is the third time in the 17-year history of the award that BMW has won. The award (also known as the Crystal Eagle Award) is the highest honor MICCS can bestow upon a company within Indiana’s construction industry.

The “Excellence in Safety Award” will serve as a constant reminder for BMW employees to continue to always put safety first and continue on the path of “Zero Injuries.”
