Boilermaker Services

BMW Constructors’  Boilermaker Services Division concentrates primarily in Electric Generating facilities. We have replaced major sections of power boilers including complete floors, walls, cyclones, vertical pendants and horizontal tube bundles. We have completed Turn-Key rebuilds of Electrostatic Precipitators, providing engineering, materials and all labor. We have replaced Feed Water Heaters, ID and FD Fans, Boiler Feed Pumps, various material handling systems and other mechanical systems. We have installed complete SCRs on three Midwest coal-fired units.

We have also performed Construction Management services for the owner, managing all of our own, and the owner’s sub-contractors. We frequently provide scheduling and cost management services.

In addition to major capital projects, we have long-standing maintenance contracts at several stations where we provide routine maintenance. Under these contracts, we are also responsible for all emergency outages, whether due to boiler tube leaks or other mechanical failures. We have developed and fine-tuned techniques to restore the boilers to operation very quickly and efficiently.

We frequently complete feasibility studies for owners contemplating major improvements. We provide recommendations on scope, constructability, manpower and outage duration requirements; as well as detailed budget estimates.
