The newest addition and latest success story within BMW Constructors’ long list of value-added services is the introduction of our Sheet Metal Services (design, fabrication, and installation). From our Indianapolis, IN headquarters office, BMW Constructors manages and employs our union sheet metal craftsmen to design and/or interpret an owner’s engineered design and layout, as well as fabricating and installing these systems. Most often, these are requests for HVAC (Heating, Ventilating & Air Conditioning) systems which are typically customized to include special exhaust, tempered air make-up, dust collection, and human air temperature conditioning systems.
Our sheet metal craftsmen are artisans, well versed in the cutting, shaping and joining of aluminum, carbon or galvanized steel, stainless steel, copper, Plexiglas and PVC. In BMW Constructors’ sheet metal fabrication shop, we use state-of-the-art equipment such as laser, plasma and water jet cutting equipment on 30 gage to ½” thick plate to meet exact design dimensions. This level of craftsmanship married with computer driven technology allows the custom fabrication of not only pharmaceutical grade duct work and hoods but also architectural items such as decorative panels, wall corner guards and desk tops. Whatever your specification or need, we’ll help you achieve your objective.
BMW Constructors’ sheet metal department also offers test and balance services. Testing and balancing is the process of manipulating both dampers to achieve a designed flow of air to air delivery diffusers or return air grills and valves to achieve a designed flow of water to a coil. In any building, with any system, testing and balancing can be challenging. Our technicians are the best, and we prove that by certifying our supervisors, union technicians, and company through the nationally recognized Testing Adjusting and Balancing Bureau (TABB) accrediting agency. Their procedures have been adopted by BMW Constructors to ensure your building and its systems are working as designed. |
