Subcontracted Services

BMW Constructors provides a wide array of Subcontracted Services to support our construction project execution and supplement our various craft labor agreements. We typically employ the direct and support crafts for the mechanical portion of our projects and will subcontract the remaining disciplines such as civil, electrical, coatings and insulation to name a few. This allows us to focus on our primary areas of expertise and bring on subcontract companies who are proven performers in their individual disciplines. We also will subcontract the necessary specialty contractors needed to support the particular needs of our clients and complexities of our projects. This may range from a heavy haul contractor for a long distance vessel transport to a stress relief contractor for a large process unit turnaround.

Regardless of the type of work being performed by our subcontractors, BMW Constructors feels a duty to ensure that the level of performance equals that of our self-performed work. We rigorously scrutinize our subcontractors around many key performance areas to ensure alignment with our commitment to success in the areas of safety, quality, schedule and budget. We also pre-screen to ensure compliance with any additional requirements of our clients, jobsites and projects. We typically engage our subcontractors in our project control methods and provide training and system access to many of our longer-term subcontracting companies.
